The majestic Austrian Alps are a combination of Ice Age valleys, towering peaks and some of the most exciting motorcycling passes in Europe. The Austrian Alps really have some of the best biking road anywhere and the sense of achievement having ridden these passes is amazing.

On our journey to the Alps we spend the first two days travelling through Germany; our first night being spent in the picturesque Ruwer valley in a secluded hotel with its own vineyard and excellent restaurant. Day two and we head south through stunning German countryside of the Mosel to our second overnight stop outside the Bavarian town of Ulm.

The next day as we ride further south the Alps seem to just appear giving a sense of excitement for the days that lie ahead. En route to Austria we will visit the Neuschwanstein or "Cinderella Castle" which allegedly is the inspiration for the famous Sleeping Beauty castle at Disneyland.

Our luxury four star Austrian hotel with indoor swimming pool, sauna and steam room is right in the middle of the action enabling you to make the most of this breathtaking country. With its friendly, informal and relaxed atmosphere this family run hotel is always a favourite with everyone.

Our daily ride outs will include the impressive Stelvio which at a height of 2758 metres and with 48 hairpin bends taking you to the summit is an absolute must. You have read about it, your friends have done it, so get the sticker and wear it with pride. We also cross over to Italy via the Timmelsjoch pass which is so good we ride it one way have lunch and then ride it back again. It really is that good.

Other highlights are the Kaunertal Glacier, Hahntennjoch and Bielerhöhe as well as some lesser known but equally impressive passes. The Austria Alps are a place of incredible natural beauty and after riding them you will wonder why it has taken you so long to do it.

Although our ride-outs in Austria have been planned we remain flexible with the decision on which pass we ride, sometimes being chosen by the group the night before. You are free to take the escorted tours or if you prefer to ‘go it alone’ road books will be provided to ensure you get the best from your time with us.

We spend five fantastic days in Austria before heading north and enjoying traditional hospitality in our hotel located deep in the Black Forest of Germany. Although we only spend one night in the Forest you will get a taste for the area as we ride a section of the B500, reputedly one of the best biking roads in Europe.

Our destination for the final night is the small town of Bouillon situated on the River Semois and overlooked by the imposing Castle of Godefroid. With a fantastic restaurant and bar this is a great way to spend our last night together.

Our final day sees us riding back through Northern France to Calais and our mid-afternoon ferry crossing to Dover.

If you have recently returned to biking, are new to touring on the continent or are a little unsure of what to expect, just read some of the past comments of tour members on the Gallery page or give us a call and we will answer any questions you may have.
